+ Akeem and Slick [1988]
In the 1980’s, one man that stood out as a big man superstar with a mean streak was One Man Gang. However, once The Doctor Of Style announced that Akeem was actually from Africa, One Man Gang’s demeanor changed drastically as the African Dream, Akeem, became a fixture on WWF programming. Akeem was seen in a promo that took place in the “deepest, darkest part of Africa”, speaking in an African-American accent and dancing like a dipshit. Akeem had moderate success in the WWF, teaming with The Big Bossman to make up the team The Twin Towers. As a team, the Twin Towers never became the WWF World Tag Team Champions, but they did however manage to gain key wins over The Mega Powers and the champions, Demolition. The team disbanded in early 1990, when The Big Bossman turned on Slick and Akeem, leading to their match at WrestleMania VI, where Bossman defeated Akeem.
