+ Sgt. Slaughter
Believe it or not, at one point, Sgt. Slaughter was the company’s top guy. And I don’t mean he had a “decent” push where he had the belt and someone else was main eventing, I mean he was THE guy. Kids were wearing camo to the shows, people were chanting “THAT’S AN ORDER!” along with him. It’s insane. Yet these days, people don’t seem to realize that. People give him the kind of cheers that Kamala or Ricky Steamboat would get. Like an “Oh, that guy’s a legend, right? Let’s clap. Thanks, man!”
