Exif Mistico
Before people started spurting “Botch Cara” about every single mistake he made, Sin Cara was a huge star as Mistico in Mexico. As a part of CMLL, Mistico was essentially to them what Shawn Michaels is to the WWE. The smaller guy who gravity forgot, Mistico could go hold-for-hold with the company’s top talent, including Negro Casas and Averno.
In my opinion, the only reason Mistico hasn’t caught on with the WWE fans as he did in Mexico is because there aren’t many talents who are used to working the style that Mistico is. People can say “oh, here comes Sin Cara, time for a botchfest”, but no one who preaches from their padded seats or computer desks can even touch the abilities that Mistico/Sin Cara has. Sure, he’s not Rey Mysterio, but as a guy whose contract forbade him from competing outside of CMLL, he never had the chance to work the world’s top talent. Now that he’s a part of the WWE, he’s got plenty of time to hone his craft and become one of the company’s veterans.
