When did the Attitude era end? This has been a question that’s been heavily debated amongst wrestling fans for years, or maybe just among me and my goofy mark friends.
In my opinion, it was when the Invasion angle began. The WWF’s wildest gimmicks then became a “protect this house” faction to ward off the Alliance’s toughest competitors like Chuck Palumbo, Hugh Morris, KroniK, and Planet Stasiak. After that God awful storyline ended, we were treated to the brand split, with an oversized roster being divided between two shows and a lot of the dick jokes, middle fingers, and “puppies” falling by the wayside. I read an article in WWE magazine about how the post-Attitude era was known as the “ruthless aggression” era, and I’m sorry, but.. no.
So what do you think? When did the Attitude era end?
